Yasin Arfat, originally from Myanmar, is an associate delegate at Refugee Congress for Illinois, a former refugee, and a refugee advocate, uplifting refugee voices and advancing human rights. He is passionate about raising awareness around the suffering and hopes of displaced people worldwide.

Zainab Ihsan is an academic coordinator working with private and international schools. She is focused on strengthening relationships between refugees and community members, advocating and educating on refugee issues and barriers while serving on various community boards.

Zulikha Akrami

Zulikha Akrami, originally from Afghanistan, is a Political Science graduate student at Northeastern Illinois University. She currently works at Trellus as a Career Services Navigator and is a global goal ambassador at Theirworld. Zulikha has published opinion pieces on topics such as women, education, and security, with a focus on Afghanistan.
